Wedding at Arteaga Castle, Bizkaia | Wedding Photographer in the Basque Country

Selene and Iván chose Arteaga Castle in Bizkaia as the setting for their wedding, celebrating surrounded by family and friends and enjoying a completely sunny day.

The preparations began at the castle itself. Selene got ready there, accompanied by her closest friends and family, wearing a beautiful Pronovias dress, while Aida Romero, the wedding planner, coordinated every detail to ensure everything was ready before the celebrations began.

The ceremony took place outdoors at Arteaga Castle, in a space decorated with a carefully curated selection of flowers by Flores Elorz. One of the most special moments of the day was Selene’s arrival in a horse-drawn carriage, a moment that perfectly complemented the character and architecture of the castle.

The ceremony was led by Eva, from Eva Bodas Oficiante, after which it was time to enjoy the celebrations and the party, organised by Oyster, who created the perfect atmosphere for everyone to continue enjoying the day together.

For me, photographing a wedding at Arteaga Castle also means capturing everything that happens around it: the preparations, the little gestures, the arrival of the guests, the emotion of the ceremony, and those spontaneous moments that unfold throughout the celebrations.

With Selene and Iván, I tried to work in the same way I do at all my weddings: naturally, discreetly, and without forcing moments, allowing the day to unfold while staying attentive to everything that was happening.
